Story Developing is an independent film company whose primary goal in film, is to showcase interesting brands with awesome stories to match. Rules of the Game is a documentary the company was pitching to investors about three artists (Pharrell Williams, Daniel Arsham and Jonah Bokear) at the top of their craft, who come together to collaborate on a special, one-of-a-kind, live performance, showcasing each artist’s respective area of expertise: music, stage design, and dance.
When I was invited to assist in creating the deck that Story Developing would be presenting to investors for Rules of the Game, the film company already had an idea for look-and-feel in mind. I expanded on their direction and sleeked out a design that was in-line with their original idea, with a few extras, including a stark white contrasting slide to break the sections up and draw attention to essential information. (The deck in its entirety does not appear below, for confidential reasons, but enjoy a few choice slides!)
This is a slide I was given as a starting point:
And this is how I cleaned it up: adding a footer, removing extra tracking & justification and pulling Pharrell’s name out to create a header.
Here are a few more slides in the pitch deck:
