The purpose of this post is really for me to share something interesting that I created, for an interview that I happened to have with Google. The specific position was actually with YouTube, and while my experience interviewing was a positive one, the position wasn’t for me. Their interview process was intense and very thorough. In the end, I came out with a fictional piece that I quite like, though it needs some tweaking. This interview also happened quite awhile ago, for full disclosure.

The first interview (a phone-screen) was forty-five minutes long and I learned later that the interviewer wanted to proceed to the second step in the hiring process, so I accepted the opportunity and was given a “take-home” assignment. I’m going to leave out a lot of details, but ultimately, I created a logo for a fictional group, a brand extension and a few slides of a hypothetical styeguide.
